Scott Tredennick

Scott Tredennick is a Senior Director in Global Operations with more than two decades of experience scaling logistics infrastructure to expand reach and better serve customers across developed and emerging markets in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.  As part of these efforts, Scott has spent over 20 years’ leading cross-cultural teams in the logistics, high tech, and medical device sectors.  

Scott currently serves as an integral member of the Global Operations leadership team at Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company.  Varian is a manufacturer of medical devices and software to save lives through treating cancer patients.  In his role, Scott has implemented a series of initiatives that has streamlined operations, led to $15M of annual savings, and contributed to double-digit service revenue growth in the $1B Services division.  In addition, Scott leads the Supply Chain Sustainability program at Varian.  The program’s main objectives are to mitigate the company’s environmental risk and drive upstream improvements in Scope 3 emissions.  

Prior to Varian, Scott first learned valuable skills in the Supply Chain Strategy group at Accenture, then took a leap of faith at an internet start-up, and subsequently worked in Manufacturing and Global Services at NetApp.  Scott has committed his education and career to global operations including in his first role out of undergraduate as Global Account Manager for leading transport and logistics company, The Maersk Group.  

Scott stays engaged in his community as member of the Inspired Supply Chain and Logistics Executives, speaker at the Service and Logistics Summit and, earlier in his career, as mentor at Big Brothers of the Bay Area.

Scott has an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and a BA in International Relations from UC Davis.  He is Six Sigma trained and has a certification in Negotiation and Influencing from UC Berkeley.  He spent his formative years on the East Coast in New York and North Carolina, and now resides with his wife and two children in the San Francisco Bay Area.  He can often be found hiking the East Bay Trails, listening to thought provoking podcasts at Peet’s Coffee, or taking on friends and family in a game of competitive hoops or pickle ball.
