90% Apparel Does Not Get Recycled Into Apparel

The secondary situation. And here is that statistic. And I have it in that earth day presentation. I should find something that I am happy to share with you guys.

It was just an internal presentation. I want to say this statistic is somewhere in the high, high nineties, 90 some odd percent of apparel that gets recycled actually just doesn’t get turned into new apparel because as you recycle different types of yarn, poly, nylon, or different nylon is worse than poly.

It degrades. You can’t take a polyester yarn and turn it from a t-shirt and turn it into another t-shirt. You make foams and padding for dog beds and car seats and carpets and things like that. Recycle the recycled toad bags for your groceries. Those used to be apparel. You can’t actually turn a t-shirt into a t-shirt.
