Leadership Is About Aligning

Leadership is about aligning, getting the Venn diagrams of intention and action to come across, and really be pretty much overlapping completely.

That’s what self leadership is about when our intention and our actions are aligned.

So something is not being stated within that organization. There may be a set of measures or incentives that are placed on those middle managers that have nothing to do with sustainability.

And so you have incentives that are cross purposes with the stated intentions and this happens all the time in companies– large and small, to align incentives properly to actually do the the full job that you’re talking about which is this holistic, you know triple bottom line kind of approach.
