Managing disruptive emotions and impulses. So you may have found yourself in arguments with people. There’s road rage out there and you know, you know, someone cuts you off and like instantly you have this kind of rage that comes up on you.
These are areas that you can recognize these emotions coming up and exercising self-control. So instead of cutting that person back off or.
Fueling the fire, this rage, you can sit there and actually respond in a way as opposed to react. And so when you start to recognize emotions that come into you, emotions, they’re not, they’re not bad or good.
They’re just emotions.
And even labeling them is probably something we probably shouldn’t do. What you do have control over is how you manage that emotion.
That is a skill.
