Steve: So if you were the assistant to the product manager for the marketing department, and this matters to me and I know my company’s not as sustainable as it could be, do you have any advice for that person?
Julia: So, I would say I’m really glad that you care. And that is a fantastic starting point.
I would suggest you find other employees at the company who are similarly minded, and they might be even in a different department. And get your heads together. And think about how you could, as a group, maybe approach the manager – the person in charge of that product design group or that marketing department – to say what you like about what you’re doing, and where you think there are the opportunities to really do something better for sustainability.
Say: “Because this matters and that our company can make a difference. And we wanna make a difference. And you want to attract more young employees like us who care. Let’s help make it a really great work environment where we can all feel very proud about what we’re doing.”
