Alex Lauver

Alex’s career has been in the Outdoor Industry from day one and is currently Senior Director of Materials Innovation & Sustainability at Outdoor Research where he specializes in advanced materials, sustainability, and high-performance apparel.  Past experiences include Eastern Mountain Sports, Eddie Bauer, Farbank Enterprises, and Cabela’s.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production from Iowa State University with a heavy emphasis in International Trade and Business.

Alex lives in West Seattle, WA with his wife Kristin, son Paxton, and Golden Retriever Kona and enjoys fly fishing, road bikes, and all things outdoors.  He’s traveled to 46 of the 50 states and 17 countries and is passionate about the cultural experiences foreign travel provides including sharing local meals.
