I’m much more comfortable one-on-one talking to the people who care. Getting them to change. Just slightly.
People would make small adjustments and then the world starts noticing and saying, “Hey, you know what, what is Bob doing? Because Bob seems like he’s cruising great results and he’s having a different experience than I am.”
And people start accumulating around Bob. And I’ve seen this happen. This works, this method works.
And I think that it also sneaks around the immune system of large organizations.
I was talking to somebody who is at the top of Deloitte about their work in technology consulting and that sort of thing and they said, “You know, we have to always remind ourselves to never forget the immune system of a large corporation.”
