What is the outcome of a successful negotiation? Is it that you won and you don’t care what they got? That’s a pretty bad situation.
You really want to make sure that a successful negotiation ends in, “I got what I need or what I desire, and I made sure you got something that you desire, and we mutually figured out a way to make that happen.”
