This Is Where MOCA Comes In

Transcript:

How motivated is this company to do this?

You’re talking about doubling your sales in the next two years and are you going to give yourself the opportunity? You know, and someone said, well, why do you ask that question that way?

And I said, well, you have a director of sales over there who has a full-time job and it sounds to me like you just gave that person a second job. And I’m wondering if you’re going to give that person that job, what responsibilities?

Are you going to take away from that person? And I asked, I asked that. It was a woman. I said, how do you feel about that?

And she’s like, I was sitting here scared shitless because I didn’t. I don’t know how I’m going to get all that done because you just gave me two jobs. And I said this is, this is where the mocha comes in. If you’re going to be clear, if you’re going to have clarity about what you want somebody to do and you know they know how to do it, the ability part, and you know they’re motivated.

If you don’t give them the opportunity as a leader to actually do it, and they don’t raise their hand and say in order for me to have the proper opportunity, I need say 2 hours a day, it’s not going to get done right and and or it’s going to be done poorly.

Any one of those things is missing, it’s going to be done poorly.
