Using EPIE To Assess And Make Leadership Decisions

Twice a day, we do these things called EPIEs check-ins, where we will sit there and literally in the morning go, “Hey, let’s go through EPIEs and EPIEs equipment.

How’s our equipment doing? Because equipment failure can lead to all kinds of different outcomes. And then how are we doing, physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually?

And we actually check in with each other and we have a four point system where: one -they’re at homeostasis, they’re doing great to four-we’re not gonna be able to take care of the things that we need to take care of within our group. So we need to seek outside assistance.

And so you can do that with all those areas.

So we do that twice a day. And it’s really cool because it forces you or creates this opportunity for you to self-reflect, which is a major component to any kind of self-evaluation.

So being able to reflect on those particular needs and then being able to articulate that to your group so that your group can make decisions going forward.
